Ten Ways to Say Thank You
- Leave a Thank-A-Vet card on the desk of a fellow employee who serves in the National Guard or Reserves.
- Place a Thank-A-Vet card on the windshield of a car with a POW or Purple Heart license plate.
- Give a Thank-A-Vet card to a friend, relative or neighbor who served.
- Post a Thank-A-Vet card on your local VFW or American Legion Bulletin Board.
- When you enter a military installation, give a Thank-A-Vet card to the MP at the gate.
- Place flowers at your local war memorial and include a Thank-A-Vet card with them.
- Visit a VA hospital and place Thank-A-Vet cards on the meal trays before they are served.
- Attend a local Veterans' Day parade and give Thank-A-Vet cards to retired vets in uniform.
- Include a Thank-A-Vet card in a care package for a homebound veteran.
- Encourage your children to find five veterans and give them Thank-A-Vet cards.
