GIsearch.com honors those who serve and served America as members of armed forces and the spouses and children who support them.
GIsearch.com grew out of a personal desire to re-establish links that were broken by time and countless transfers. What HAD happened to our friends from Fort Leonard Wood? From the Berlin Brigade? From boot camp?
The creators of GIsearch developed the origianl highschoolalumni.com, now known as reunion.com. We are experienced web developers and experienced members of the Armed Forces, and we wanted to find old friends. What better way than to build a web site that lets service members, retirees, veterans and their friends and families enter information about themselves and their service record?
We visited other web sites, but they either offered long lists of unsearchable data or confusing sign up methods that weren't secure. We appreciate every webmaster who has tried to build a site that brings service members together, and we are convinced that GIsearch can improve on their success. We know the Internet and we know the military.
The GIsearch web site is managed by former military intelligence specialist George Baker. The GIsearch Team is committed to providing a service that helps military families keep in touch and honor those who fought for our country.
Help GIsearch make history. We hope that in the years to come, service members will look back and be amazed that there was ever a time when they couldn't maintain relationships with friends around the world. We also suspect those same service members will look back and thank you for helping make the GIsearch mission a reality.
We want to hear from you. If you have any ideas or suggestions that could improve the GIsearch web site, let us know.
Thanks for all the support,
The GIsearch Team
