How to find someone who is or isn't in the Military

It is easy to learn how to find someone. If they were in the military, there are several ways you can find a person. They range from free military locator services like ours to expensive private detectives. The first thing we recommend is using all the free features of Gisearch to start your search. If you are unable to find someone here, the next step is trying any one of the dozens of other resources. In order to help you as much as possible, we have created this step-by-step manual. By following these steps you should be able to eventually find that person you are looking for.

Please don't loose faith if you don't find a person you are looking for right away, the searching process often takes time. However, remember that every step taken puts you one step closer to finding that friend or relative you lost track of.

When using the search manual, I recommend following the steps in order. Doing so will help you to easily learn how to find someone. However, if you have already done any of the steps please feel free to skip them. The important thing is that all the steps are completed. Our manual focuses on people in the military but is useful for people wondering how to find someone who is not.
